Brand newly build computer starts with fans and all but no display on monitor

I just recently finished building my computer and when it was finished, I realized that the monitor displayed nothing even though all the fans were running.
Everything inside of the case was working properly like the gpu and the cpu.
I'm pretty new to this so can someone help me please. Is it a problem with my gpu or just something completely different.. Please help!

-Hyperx Fury 8gb
-AMD FX 6300

-Gigabyte Radeon R9 270x
And lastly my psu: Corsair CX Series CX500M 500W

Plug in the other motherboard connector from your power supply.

I've already went through the checklist and my motherboard connector is plugged securely.
