Here's my current build (new parts)
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X
GPU: ASRock Challenger Radeon Challenger 6600 RX
MOBO: ROG STRIX B550-F
RAM: Silicon power 2x16GB DDR4 3200
SSD: SanDisk 1TB
PSU: Cooler Master Gold 550W 80+ Gold
CPU Fan: Standard Cooler Master A30
Case: NZXT Phantom 410

Currently I have my mobo connected to my psu with the 24pin and 8pin power connectors. I have the cpu fan installed and connected to the CPU_FAN pin. When I turn on my PSU the ROG graphic rgb light in the top left where the IO ports are turns on, however the PSU and CPU fans do not spin and no leds turn on. The PSU passes the paperclip test (not super useful) where it can power it's own fan with a pin 4 and 5 short circuit. I have upgraded the mobo and cpu. All other parts were functioning in my old build.
I'm two pending returns and a warranty approval in and I'm losing my mind and money, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: [PROBLEM SOLVED]: forgot to short the power on pins with screwdriver. All good after that.
