Hi,

I assembled my first gaming Rig about three months ago, My basic specs are as follows
Intel core i5-4440 processor
Cross Vengence- 8GB 1600mhz Ram
Gigabyte gtx 970 (OC one)
Gigabyte h81-sp2-pv pretty basic one(didn't want to spend a lot of money, was on a budget)
Crossair 650w power supply, WD blue 1 TB HDD. EDIT:THE UPDATE REFERS TO THE GPU BIOS UPDATE
Anyway, I was getting black screen for a few seconds randomly, and when I contacted Gigabyte they told it it was a BIOS issue and it should be resolved with an update, so I went to Gigabyte's website and decided to update it. But unfortunately things didn't go so well, and it showed that the bios failed to update. I pressed my panic button, so I decided to restart the PC( now i know, it wasn't a very wise decision at all), but now, the computer wouldn't start at all and there were beeps coming( one long and three short beeps), which meant that the VGA being wasn't being detected, as I freaked (obviously) I decided to calm down and then I started my Pc after a day, only to find out it was working again?!!!!?? I mean that was not supposed to happen right? Okay, that's not the end of the story though.... unfortunately

After working for a few times, it didn't start one time, with beeps coming from the PC(One long, and three short ones), But I restarted again, and it was working again!!!!!!?? I thought there was something seriously wrong with bios, so I flashed it again(Properly this Time), and now It's working perfectly fine, it's been a couple of days though.

My GPU temps have greatly reduced, and the performance has improved, so it was definitely a worthy update!

So my question is, can anybody tell me, what the issue really was? Can a PC start if the BIOS update failed? And was it really the BIOS or some other hardware issue might be there?
Is my beast fine now??!!
Thanks a lot guys!
