Hello, I have a 32GB USB 3.0 flash drive from PNY, and it has become bricked, in a manner. It is write protected, its format says it's unformatted, and it's name has been cleared. It still can be recognized as a drive, but it cant be reformatted, because of the write protection, and I have tried changing the write protection using regedit, but that didn't seem to change it, and I used diskpart in command prompt (yes, as an administrator). Would I have to use third party software to fix this, or should I just recycle it?
Nothing confidential is on it, it just held some drivers as I was setting up a computer. It was bricked by me, as I tried to remove it from my computer before clicking the "safely eject drives" button, so I take responsibility for that, and it wasn't being used for Readyboost. This drive wasn't that expensive, being around $10, and I already have a larger, faster drive to replace it. I have several years of computer hardware experience, so don't hold back technical details if you have to.
