Bridging two routers, unable to use LAN, Bridge not working as intended

Recently we got fibre installed but the access point is at a very inconvenient part of the house, so until we are able to run an Ethernet cable to where we want the router to be I have been trying other ways around it. Initially I tried to connect the fibre modem to the router through a powerline adapter but had no connection no matter what I tried.

Now I have put one router by the fibre modem then connected that router to the powerline adapter which connects to the WLAN port on the D-link router I want to use for the main access router. I somehow got this setup to half work by setting the D-link router to bridge mode, while the router near the fibre modem is setup normally, I know this is the wrong way around but I couldn't seem to get any connection doing it the other way around. But with this setup I am only able to connect to the wifi on the D-link router and not via LAN, and even then the wifi connection is a bit iffy.

The two routers I am trying to use are Huawei HG630b for the one next to the fibre modem, this router is supplied by my ISP, and a D-link AC1900 Viper as the main access router.

Please tell me if this is hard to understand and I would appreciate any help.

Sorry calling it a modem is misleading, its the Optical Network Terminal that has Ethernet ports like a modem to connect to routers.
