I bought a new case and the lights on it are very bright and make it difficult for me to sleep (I like complete darkness) so I was wondering if I could just unplug the wires that power the lights from the motherboard, and if I did that could it cause problems with the case. Any help would be great thanks in advance.

The only internal lights I see are the LED fans correct?
At the moment you can just remove the fans, as there is no easy way to unplug the LEDs in them. You can attempt to disable them once you remove the fan though (some tutorials probably exist), or replace them with normal fans.

I was hoping that there may be some way to do it in the Bios, I have an Asus Z170 AR I looked last night but wasn't able to find any information.

Well it looks like I'm going to go buy some new case fans, those ones aren't that great anyway. Thanks for the help.
