Question Bright streak in Scanner images, how to fix?

I have a Canon CanoScan LiDe 700F and my scanned images have this bright streak running down one side of the image.

I've tried taking it apart and cleaning it but that didn't fix it. This image is from after I cleaned it and it was showing the same thing before I cleaned it. Any help would be appreciated.
