Bright white spot on brand new monitor? ASUS VG248QE

Please don't tell me that they are dead pixels and there's nothing I can do....

In darker moving images it is unnoticable but in solid blacks and solid whites it is. When a light or black image move through it it remains.

Yeah it could be, RMA it, it may be stuck pixel, or damaged.
