Brightness keeps dimming?

Running Windows 8, ive realized that when im on battery, my brightness will sometimes randomly go down. It's like a slight dimming. It doesn't ACTUALLY go down because when I check the actual setting, it shows that its on max brightness, but I know that somethings up, it's definitely going down or getting weaker or something. I've already made sure that Adaptive Brightness in advanced power settings is turned off, so I have no idea what else it could be. Any ideas? Btw, im using a Lenovo Y410p, only 2 weeks old.

Are you sure it's off in Power settings? A lot of laptops turn the brightness down after xx minutes of inactivity when on battery.

yes, im sure its off. And it doesn't happen during inactivity, it happens while im actually using the laptop, that's why its annoying me so much
