[SOLVED] Brightness only changes after input

Recently my laptop has been acting up when I try to change the brightness. When I use Fn+Brtns up/down I can see the brightness bar change on my computer, but the change in brightness doesn't actually take effect until I make a key input. When I do make a key input, it changes my brightness by one notch at a time, so for example if I go from lowest brightness to one level of brightness higher, I have to type/alt-tab around 10 times before the full change in brightness finishes.
I'm not sure why this is happening, up until now my laptop has been working well. This problem just popped out of nowhere.

Nevermind, a windows update today fixed the problem for me.
