I am using Lenovo G505s with Windows 8.1.From past few days my brightness was unnable to change (*both Function keys on keyboard and brightness slider on right options). Then while i was unable to change my brightness was set to maximum I managed with this hoping it will solve if I get any updates. But today I suddenly my MAXIMUM brightness was set to LOW. I cannot change the brightness and it is fixed to low.I was unable to do anything.

Solution
Follow this in order and you should see three choices. Try the different ones to see if any change.

Control Panel > Device Manager > Display Adapters > AMD Radeon HD 8650G(i think)> Driver > Update Driver > Browse my computer
Then you choose Microsoft Basic Display Adapter, you apply and accept. Then you change the brightness and switch back to your previous settings

Now I am back to default driver but even now I cannot change though (my low brightness was now at HIGH ..which was good when compared to Low one)....but I want to change(vary) it rather than fixing it at lower end or higher end....🙁
