*Brightness Unavailable* Windows 8 Samsung Laptop

So I just got a new laptop (used but restored to factory settings) and it runs windows eight. The model is: "NP700G7C-S01US" I've tried to use the little side bar settings thing but it says unavailable under the brigthness. I've also attempted to use the FN keys but they also do not work.. I cannot find any other way please help!

Open your power options.
Use the slider to change the brightness of your laptop (its located at the bottom of the power options windows)
Or you can try clicking the power option and setting it to high performance.

What is your laptop model # ?
You can check using msinfo32

its in the original description, but its "NP700G7C"

You might be missing important drivers.

Scroll down to manuals and downloads, click that
Download the SW update
Install it

Reboot your system after and see if your fn keys are working again.
