This is the first PC I'm building and if possible, I would like to bring down the price, as much as I can.

I've already downgraded my video card and I would like to keep the processor the same.

I know SSDs aren't necessary, but wouldn't that slow my boot up times for games/overall?

If you can, find a quality case that's around the same price of the current one. I'm quite sure the Kendomen Red is good enough.

Also, I don't think the peripherals can go any lower without being shite.

You could save about $120 by going for an i3-6100 and a further $50 by going for an ASRock H170 Pro4 motherboard. With the money saved I'd get a better PSU; the tier list can provide recommendations; www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html.

If you're planning to stick with a 1080p 60hz monitor then don't sacrifice the GPU any further. If you can see yourself upgrading the monitor to 1440p or 144hz then go for a GTX 1060 or RX 480 now.

You're right about SSDs, but they're well worth the price. If you install the OS onto an HDD and then decide to buy an SSD, the process of transferring the OS will be a pain.

As for the case, a Corsair SPEC-01 is pretty good. It's difficult to recommend much because cases are a very personal choice.
