Bringing the dead back to life

Well I am stuck and need to draw on everyone here to see if this is
possible. I never played with mods until about a month ago and now I am
enjoying the game like never before. I have a few housing mods up and
running and this really adds a lot to the game for me. I especially like
collecting stuff and displaying it in my houses.

Prior to running these mods I wanted a house in balmora as a new character
and a friend suggested I kill the merchant next to the mages guild as he is
just a so so merchant at best and nothing in the game depends on him being
alive. Fair enough, so I kill him and move into his house. Now a month
later I want to run a mod to get an object and guess who sells it? Right, it
is the guy I killed off.

I tried to RA him with no luck and I am not sure if he can be added using
the console. If anyone has any idea on how to fix this let me know. I am
so far along in the game I am going to just gut it out and someday start a
new character if I can't come to a solution.

Jim

Try the placeatpc comnand in the console:

placeatpc "BM_spriggan_co1" 1,1,1

where the name in quotes is the name of the NPC you want back.

Next time, think before you slay. 🙂

For those who don't know, every town has somewhere you can claim
as your own without killing. A locked empty house, a murder victim's
house, the house of someone you slay in a quest, etc. If I'm not
using mods, I like Hlaalo Manor. I just ignor the dead guy on the
floor.

Or you can use him for an armor mannequin... I think you can also get rid
of the body via console if it bothers you much. I prefer Dura Gra-Bol's
house in Balmora. Free for the taking after a certain fighter's guild
mission, and much closer to the Silt Strider for easy access. Also pretty
close to the Mage's Guild, though the Hlaalo Manor is about the same
distance.

I guess the trader in question is the Khajiit Ra'Virr. In this case
the Console command is:
placeatpc "ra'virr" 1,1,1
