Broke Airport e?

I am working on creating a server and was working on forwarding my ports. I had to log into my ape and had forgotten the password so I did a soft reset. Now I am getting an error -16 that says "the password entered does not match that of the apple wireless device" and the ape utility will not close. What do I do?

Do a hard reset and start over...

All of a sudden it said "router rebooting" and worked.
