broke gpu tab

please help i broke my gpu tab i was trying to open it to install a gtx 1060 and i accidentaly snapped it off does it matter if i snapped it off? i know that its only supposed to hold it in but can i still get it in there enough to where the gpu doesnt fall out or break

Do you mean that little hook on the PCI-e slot? Should be fine as long as the card stays in it's slot, usually the case holds it in anyway with screws.

it is ok but if you transport the system , take out the card .
