So today i thought it would be a good idea to repaste my gpu to try and get lower temps. It didn't end well (gpu is Evga Rtx 2070 Super XC). So after i got done repasting i put the gpu in turn on the computer and all of the sudden fan 2 is out of control running at 100 %. So i log in and go straight to evga precision x1 and try to see what the hell is happening. Fan 2 is running at almost 4000 rpms and the slider is at 0%. I have no control over that fan now, its just blasting at full speed all the time. Can anyone help me?

Solution
Make sure you have the fan plugged fully into the header on the card.

Personally I wouldn't have repasted that new of a card, especially a EVGA which are known for good cooling from the factory.

One of my often used advice in posts is "One of the most fun way to break something is to take something that is working and trying to "fix" an issue that is not really an issue".
