Broken graphics capacitor on mobo, will gpu work?

I have a motherboard that has a bloated graphics capacitor. Because of that, it doesn't display anything on the monitor.
If i add a graphics card, will it function and just forget about the bloated capacitor?
I had it checked to a technician and that is why i know it was the graphics capacitator.

It might work, or it might not. With a soldering gun you can swap out the damaged capacitor. It is pretty easy.
