Broken graphics card chip.

So i dropped my graphics card and broke a small black rectangle chip, not the fan spins every 2-3 seconds, wont power on fully, and wont display.

Are you referring to the capacitor on the right of where it's labelled D505? That is part of the circuitry. :/

Seems like it cracked open so my answer would be no.

D505 would be a diode, not a capacitor. It's probably a $0.20 component, do you have the remains of the one that broke off? If so, can you look closely with a magnifying glass and see what markings are there on it?

Judging by the heavy traces surrounding it and it's proximity to the 6-pin power socket, it's likely part of the GPU/RAM VRM and therefore an important component. This would also explain why the board won't power up anymore.

I talked with someone and they told me that theres no fixing it. Well, might as well get a new one
