Broken Macbook Air Screen?(yea ik its a mac)

I have a broken MacBook Air screen, except I don't know if it is actually broken. It has cracks internally, and a big black oval in the screen. The oval has changed in shape over the years and gotten bigger. I saw something about 'massaging' the screen, and slowly pushing the black pixels away, and surprisingly it works--at a very slow rate. What happened to my screen and what is the fix? Should I replace it? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

P.S -- It's a mid-2011 MacBook Air.

Physical damage. Maybe something in a bag pushed against it. All LCD screens are susceptible.
Should you get it fixed??
I don't know who you are and what you do or need, so couldn't possibly say.
I'd sell it as-is and buy a new one.

How much would it sell for? Can you buy macs at a reasonable price?
