Broken Mod Mic 4

The cable on my modmic 4 broke right at the mute switch. I was able to open the mute box, but the cabling left is VERY small, I would have to solder it. My question is can I just bypass the mute box and connect the two ends? I never use the mute anyway. Just asking before I put in the work, I'm pretty inexperienced with wire stripping/connecting.

Hey James from Antlion Audio here. You can in theory bypass the mute switch yes but it may be difficult for someone new at soldering to work with those delicate wires.
