I bought a Blue Snowball iCE back in June, and since then it has worked fine. Recently, I bought a suspension boom arm for the microphone, and within three days of having the arm, the cord has bent along with the pins inside of the cord. The cord I have is not the old printer cord, it is the newer USB style. As far as I've seen, the inside of the Snowball is fine, but I would like to know what the cord is called, and any tips to stop this from happening in the future.
