Question Broken/not working ram slots

My motherboard has a spoilt ram slot it cannot recognize the ram I have the ram works since I try the other slot.Should i buy new mobo or is there a way to fix it

Try loosening a bit the CPU cooler screws, or inspecting the CPU socket for bent pins.
