Question broken pin please help

the board pin snapped off inside the powerswitch connect and Icant take it out please help me guys how can I remove it?

If you can't grab the end then maybe a metal pick to try and pry it out.


Another option that you can try and be very careful with is use a little bit of super glue on the end of a wire and try and to glue it to the end of the pin then pull it out. Again be very very careful and use very small amounts of glue, you dont want to glue the connector.

whats a board pin in a power switch?
Do you mean the cable connected to the motherboard which is connected to the 2 pins coming from the motherboard?
So one of the pins broke in the black plug?
You should be able to push it out with a paperclip, as for attaching it back on the motherboard, I hope you are good with a soldering iron

How good are your soldering skills? It's a very simple fix
Cut the cable with the broken pin, solder that direct onto the broken pin on the motherboard and connect the other where it should go.
But if you have no soldering skills, then don't attempt it

I do not have any, just need to get the pin out it qas just an adapter so the board it fine

Use a sewing needle and push the pin out from the wire end of the connector housing....you can also pull the terminal out of the connector housing by lifting the black latch and pulling on the wire at the same time. This will make it easier to get the pin out with a needle. Re-inserting the pin should be done with the wire anchor side of the connector on the side away from the black latch which holds the pin in the connector housing.

You can look-up "Dupont connectors" on the Internet to get a better idea of how to deal with these kinds of things.
