Broken ram chips is it still functional?

I was trying to take off the ram heatsink to add the rgb one on amazon and when i heat up the ram i pulled of the side heatsink and it ripped off 2 black square chips and right away i knew i messed up is the ram stick broken? I cant put it in my system because i was starting a build and ill have to wait till tommorow. Should i buy new ram or can it be fixed

That dimm is beyond repair, If you have multiple dimms and plan on using them in dual channel they should be a matched set, meaning they come as a kit.

But 2 of them are broken off of one of the pair of ram

You can use the single DIMM if you didn't also rip any chips off of it. It will run in single channel mode just fine until you get new RAM to replace it but you should buy new RAM.

So i have a 2x2 and a 4x1 and one of the 2x1 broke so i can put them all in and the broken ome will work for a while?

No the broken one will not work and do not ever put it in as it could cause more issues. You can use any of the memory that are good and not broken but the best solution is to get new matching pairs for the best performance/stability.

what i would do is contact amazon se if they will give you a one time rma to replace the ram you broke. you may have to speak with a customer support rep.
