One of the pins for the System Reset button is broken off at the base on the motherboard. I don't think I can solder an extension. Is there any reason to worry about not having a System Reset Function? Can't I just power off if I need to reset?
I wouldnt turn it off to reset it. It may or may not corrupt the system, if you keep doing it. If it freezes while you're in windows shut it down / reboot it through task manager

I agree. I would definitely use Task Manger first and only turn it off as a last resort
