Question Brosers open a new window

Dont know if this issue is due to a windows problem, but, I had an issue yesterday where whenever I for example searched something on any browser, it opened a completely new window(not tab) to show the result, 2 mins later the problem was gone, today I have the same issue but on my laptop, I am deeply confused.
Edit, I am dumb, I am using ah old keyboard, and the shift key was stuck...... I feel dumb
