[SOLVED] Brother inserted evga display/graphics driver cd/dvd in. Will my GPU and monitor be okay?

I went into my room and my brother inserted a CD or dvd (idk which) into my Pc. My motherboard manufacturer is Asus, so my graphics card would have to be of Asus form. I use a GTX 1060 3GB. It is currently on automatic repair and is attempting repairs. Will my monitor or Graphis Card be damaged or will I just have to reinstall drivers? The time of posting this the thing is out of my disk drive but it could take long to install drivers, so will my monitor be messed up when I get back into windows if possible? I am scared because A NEW PC could be too expensive and I don’t want to get worse than what I have if my PC does break.

edit: Just finished repairing and seems to be booting normal but I can’t be sure. Im not sure if it’s completely done yet, but doesn’t seem to be to me. If I see any problems occur or any black/blue screens I’ll reply under here.

Drivers for graphics cards aren't based on manufacturer, they're universal. The GPU drivers from an ASUS disk should have no issues getting a Gigabyte graphics card to run for example. The only thing that's manufacturer bound is the GPU software, like Aorus Engine etc. But even if you install Aorus Engine on an ASUS gpu for example, it will not cause it to malfunction or break. It will simply not work in most cases.

I should also clarify that you don't need to have an ASUS gpu if you have an ASUS mobo. Any GPU will work on any mobo, as long as it has a PCI Express 3.0 slot or above.

If the system booted up fine, which from your latest reply looks like it did, then you are alright.

For some reason, my cursor moves really slowly? Should I try resetting the monitor. I assume the hertz or something got messed up r whatever?

If you're having issues, they're most likely caused by the automatic repair rather than the disc. To get everything working again, I recommend using Display Driver Uninstaller in safe mode to get rid of your current drivers:

After using it, download the latest NVIDIA driver:

And install it. Everything should work alright again.

Make sure the refresh rate is correct after the driver installation and that the monitor is plugged in correctly.

I logged on and my PC seemd to be in a black screen. The mouse cursor worked, the monitor was on. Did explorer crash?
