Brother Printer Compatibility Issue

Hello,
I purchased a new computer, Windows 7, I had previously Windows XP, I have a Brother MFC-490CW 3 in-one printer. I used the paperport program to scan docs,save to my docs, then e-mail as an attachment. Withe the new Windows 7 I have not been able how to get the computer to let me do this. I can't find paperport anywhere. Can you help me. I am not an experienced computer geek. Help, Please

Download the Windows 7 drivers and software from Brother, be sure to get 32 bit or 64 bit version for W7 depending on which you have installed.
