Browser service preventing internet, keeps restarting.

A while ago I decided to look into a problem where my internet would stop working every 10 minutes, for about 5 miuntes. The solution was to stop the 'computer browser' service, so I just stopped that every time I turned the computer on and all was fine. Recently it has got clever and keeps starting up again after about 5 minutes, every time I stop it. The original problem has come back. Has anyone got any ideas? Thanks

This is on the hp pavillion dv6 laptop.
