i recently had a virus on my PC (windows 7 64bit dell precision t3400) i got rid of it but now whenever i try to access a website Firefox and IE just quickly flash the loading symbol but return to a blank screen my internet works on other programs like internet games and i can ping google.
i have tried reinstalling WiFi driver and Firefox but nothing is working.

Solution
Sounds like a possible DNS issue.

Open a command prompt and type ipconfig /flushdns

If that doesn't help in a command prompt type the below then restart your computer.

netsh winsock reset catalog

If you still have no luck please post your DNS settings, are you using manual DNS settings or are they automatically assigned?
Check your browser settings to ensure that it is not configured to use a proxy server. (The virus could have changed this to make you use a proxy server)

Also open a web browser and type the below in the address bar and press enter. Does it take you to google?
