Question Bsod after closing games since upgrading to 144hz monitor

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600x
MOBO: TUF Gaming x570-plus (wi-fi)
PSU: Kolink 850w
Storage: Corsair force mp510 480gb m.2 ssd, seagate barracuda 1tb ssd & wd blue nand 500gb sata ssd
RAM: Team group vulcan t force 32gb
OS: Windows 10

Since upgrading to a 144hz monitor (the aoc 24g2u), i'm getting constant crashes to bsod, most notably when closing games or in the after lobby session. occasionally i also get crashes when accessing in game menus too. this is a new build and I've only been experiencing these issues since upgrading to the 144hz. tried setting it to 120 and 100hz but neither seems to negate the problem. all the bsod's ive been getting have different error codes. any help would be much appreciated. wanted to add- just updated all my drivers, including the chipset and wireless which were out of date. drivereasy didn't find any new sata drivers, but driverbooster did and also notes that the ones I have are from 2006. so I installed them and restarted, only I got stuck on the windows loading screen. had to do a system restore to get access to my desktop again and am worried about installing them again. any thoughts?
