Today I installed a new graphics card, (A GTX 970), I upgraded from an Radeon HD 7700. Before installing the GTX I had uninstalled the display drivers for my 7700. After very much enjoying 'Very High' graphics in GTA 5 I had crashed and had a patcher_kernel blue screen. I tried several other games and the same screen popped shortly after playing.
I have successfully installed newest drivers for my new GTX970. My in game video RAM never exceeds 2.7g/4g
GPU Temperatures hover around 58-64 C during graphically intense games at highest settings. No FPS issues.
CPU around 55 C.
All fans functioning.
Brand new HDD
Motherboard M5A97
8 GB of RAM.
600 W PSU
AMD 3150 8x core processing unit
chkdsk and ram check through windows came up clean.
It wasn't until just a little bit ago that I decided to uninstall AMD Catalyst Installer. I write to you while hoping this helps this very moment! But if it doesn't does anyone have any suggestions?
