Hey, guys. Just recently I have experienced the infamous BSOD a week ago. In my 4-5 years of gaming on this PC, BSOD has only happened once and it was then fixed when I did a system restore and that worked throughout these years until now.

It might be coincidental, but it started happening when I updated Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and Microsoft Security at the same time. After they were updated, I had run both the programs to scan my computer. I then paused and eventually stopped the scan on Microsoft Security, but paused Malwarebytes since it really doesn't take too long for that to scan because I wanted to download a game on Steam, specifically Alien: Isolation. I let the game download over night and once it finished, I then resumed the scan on Malwarebytes.
These are all the things I've done the night before the problem came to exist.
Now every time I multi-task, there is a chance I will crash. It's not always BSOD, sometimes my PC just shuts down and asks to do a system restore since that is recommended. I have done this numerous times now and, obviously, the problem still persists.

Here are some of the things I do that triggers BSOD, crashes/freezes my PC. I would also like to add that these examples I have provided don't always happen, just that they are highly susceptible for the problem to occur:
- When I chat with friends on Steam and a link is provided, clicking the link would freeze my computer and it shuts down.
- Playing a game on steam and shift+tabbing to open a profile.
- I launched Alien: Isolation and left it on menu for no more than 5 minutes while I was AFK and BSOD happened
- AFK'ing for no more than 10 minutes freezes the screen

If it's worth anything, here are my specs and additional info.
I'm using Win 7 currently.
Name: AMD Radeon HD 5670
Chip Type: AMD Radeon Graphics Processor (0x68D8)
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU 750 @ 2.67GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.7GHz
Memory: 6144MB RAM
Page File: 4235MB used, 8033MB available
DirectX Version: DirectX 11

- My graphics card is up to date.

If you want me to specify anything more, feel free to ask.

If you guys could give me an inkling of what might be happening, I will do the best I can to follow through the suggestions.

Thanks so much!
