I've been having issues with Unity 3D crashing my computer with BSOD of whea_uncorrectable_error.

The bugcheck is BUGCHECK_STR: 0x124_GenuineIntel

I put my dump file through osronline.com and then was looking through the data and found this under the Strings section. I see the section that looks like a json from Unity, but all this GenuineIntel stuff around it.

Now, a quick history. When I first tried to load Unity after building this computer it was using a project from work. This project was a unity 2017.2 project and I was trying to update it to Unity 2017.3. It did contain Unity IAP system. The project went through the upgrade process and then opened up Unity, but then went crazy with all sorts of errors in the Unity console, and then crashed the computer. After that, I had issues with BSOD from trying to open or create a Unity 3D project.

I have reinstalled Windows and reinstalled Unity, but still have the same issue. I don't know if above has any meaning or not, it just seemed a bit odd looking to me.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: I also notice after the genuineIntel part there is a fail message. Not sure if this has any meaning as well. And to add on, I have been dealing with this for over 2 weeks and have been running diagnostic software and stress software. Prime95, memtest86, intel cpu diagnostic, nvidia gave me a program to stress test the gpu. I have tried with overclocking all off. Tried with single sticks of memory in. Recent attempt was to reinstall windows, only updated the nvidia graphics driver, and then installed just unity.

I also uninstalled my graphics card and the drivers and tried the onboard on the motherboard without luck.

System specs

Asus Nvidia 1080TI
I7-8700k
AsRock Gaming z370 k6
Samsung 960 evo SSD
Gskill 3200 8gb (x2) memory
Corsair h105 cooler for cpu
Toshiba HDD 4tb

Additional information... as I saw this post before i saw user name and thought, I have tried to help someone else with this problem recently... but its same person again.

http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-3600253/unity-crashes-windows-bsod.html

that might be how a WHEA error looks in the dump, I don't see many that haven't already been formatted for easy reading. Genuine Intel is farily normal for them as it identifies your CPU as what called error.

Unless someone else helps you out, I would read the instructions at top of this page and post on here for help, they have more there who can read dumps. https://www.tenforums.com/bsod-crashes-debugging/ - might want to link to old post here to avoid duplication.

Thanks Colif. Yeah, still trying to solve this one. It's been a tough search. I just thought that part looked extremely odd with the unity part mixed in there, but I don't really know how to read the dump files that well. I'll take a look at that other site.
