I've tried everything

Startup repair doesn't work

Comand prompt sfc/scannow doesn't work

System restore doesn't work

Uninstall last quality update doesn't work

My last resort is to do a system reset and keep personal files but I'll have to reinstall all programs I want to use going forward eh?

Any and all help is welcome

A hard reset has failed... I'm out of options... Please help

can you access the "event logs"? list the critical errors/warnings etc.

have you attempted to pull the hard drive from the current pc/laptop and plugging it into another computer to run checks? check for errors? defrag, cleandisk etc.. I would try that first. also while doing this.. source all of your files youd like to save and back them up..

next steps i would try would be to download and mount the windows installer to a usb drive. from this usb you can attempt to repair, but if youve had a lot of bsod's id suggest to just run a complete fresh install, deleting even the recovery partition.

how to delete recovery partition

  1. Type Cmd into the Windows search box. A list of results appears.
  2. Right click on Command Prompt and...

  3. Type "diskpart" at the command prompt and hit Enter.
  4. Type "list disk" and hit Enter. A list of physical drives appears. If you're doing this on a laptop, you probably only have one drive.
  5. Type "select disk" and the number of the disk. The first (or only) disk is number 0. Hit Enter.
  6. Type "list partition." A list of partitions appears.
  7. Type "select partition" and the number of the recovery partition you wish to delete. There may be more than one.
  8. Type "delete partition override."
