Hi All,

I am trying to figure out what is causing BSOD on my PC.

Windows 10 Pro
MotherBoard: X570 AORUS ELITE WiFi
Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core
Memory: 32GB DDR4
Graphics Card: GeForce RTX 2070 Super

It seems to be related to when either my son or I play video games on the computer.

At first I thought it was related to his FIFA game, from what I have read online. Which is when it was happening mostly. But just happened when I was on Chrome.

I have gotten two types of BSOD:

Stop Code: KMODE EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED

also

Stop Code: SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED. What Failed Ndu.sys.

I ran MemTest86 V8.4 and had no reported errors. Run took about 7.5 hours.

I am updated to latest Windows 10 OS, version 2004.

I installed WinDbg, but cant get too much from the minidumps.

latest analyze information:

SYMBOL_NAME: ANALYSIS_INCONCLUSIVE

MODULE_NAME: Unknown_Module

IMAGE_NAME: Unknown_Image

STACK_COMMAND: .thread ; .cxr ; kb

FAILURE_BUCKET_ID: CORRUPT_MODULELIST_0x1E_c0000005_W

OSPLATFORM_TYPE: x64

OSNAME: Windows 10

FAILURE_ID_HASH: {d02a9d4e-681f-8f08-757c-f9c7cbc3370f}

Followup: MachineOwner

Any help would be much appreciated!

Solution
Black screen of death? I am pretty sure its Blue Screen of Death.. though now days they can also be Green and Red (Black screen errors and BSOD are generally 2 different types of error. Black screen is a blank screen, no error codes. BSOD normally leave evidence)

this is 2nd person I seen recently with ndu.sys. Its the Network Data Usage Monitor.
So do you use avast as in last case that was cause? If you have Avast, try updating it. Or removing it (in last case it was the Avast Anti Root kit driver)
Another choice is update LAN drivers.
