Windows 7 Professional SP1 problem.
I was printing something, and decided to cancel the printing order, the printer thingy stopped responding and suddenly, the PC just turned off.
It took me a few restarts (just pressing the physical reset button) to get it working in safe mode, and then I loaded a restore point, but I'm not sure that went well, the computer restarted normally and after a while... BSOD! It said something related to ntfs.sys, I restarted the computer and it did the check disk cha cha. After a while, blue screen of death again (not opening a particular program or anything). That happened two more times I think, I tried restoring windows to a previous date, but it didn't work, I have the minidumps, if they are required, so... yeah, help please.

Solution
try the windows 7 repair with the cd you have a registery error and for your win 8 install you will need a valid license and the dvd .
I tried to do something, but, big surprise... The PC died on me.
Now it won't stay on for more than 3 minutes. I can still boot it in safe mode, but I can't restore the thingy.
I'll say what I can remember:
Now instead of saying "ntfs.sys problemo", it said "REGISTRY_ERROR"
technical information:
***STOP: 0x00000051 (0x0000000000000001.0xFFFFF8A000024010.0x0000000001027000.0
x0000000000000374)

My specs are:
ASUS M5 A97 R2.0
FX-8350
Kingston something 2x8gb
NVIDIA GTX 660

If it boots, then the mobo, cpu and ram are ok. That leaves the hdd and graphics card and the OS.

Registry problem will be a software problem. It looks like you'll need to do an OS re-install. Then see how it's going. Do you know how to do a reinstall of Windows (if it is Windows)?
