I recently put in a trendent TEW-807ECH ac 1200 pci exspess wifi card into my new skylake build. The iproblem is I am getting bsod whea_uncorrectable_error after i do the install. The first time i installed it the system ran fine until i turned off the computer. Once i turned it back on i kept getting the whea_uncorrectable_error. I finally had to do a sytem restore which corrected the problem. To make sure that it was indeed my pci card i installed it once more. Again same thing everything worked great until i restarted the computer. Once i did that i got the whea_uncorrectable_error all over again. I did a system restore to resolve the issue. Although now i am faced with a $60 pci card i cant use. I have seen others who have had the same issue but nobody ever found a solution. I am running a intel 6700k 8g ddr4 @3000 w/corsair h100x cooler. Nivida 980 w/corsair h80i cooler on a gigabyte 170z gaming series 5 mobo. I am running it on a windows 10 setup. If anyone has any thoughts to this i am all ears. I have also updated all my drivers so it cant be a issue of not having up to date drivers. Again any help would be much appreciated.

turn off the machine, install the card, boot into BIOS and update the BIOS or reset it to defaults. then boot into windows and see if you can still get a bugcheck.

(updating the bios or reset to defaults will make the bios scan for hardware and rebuild the database of hardware settings it sends to windows)

Thanks guys for helping out, 1st i used the driver update that came with the pci card. 2nd time around i used the website driver update neither made any difference. Also the Netis card u recommend is only for windows 8 it says. And i am using windows 10 unless i missed something.

To the other post i will try to reset the default in bios. I never updated my bios because I was informed i didn't need to. But I'll give it a try and let u know how it goes
