Question BSOD DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL tcpip.sys

Hi all,
I’ve been having internet issues for weeks and I had a technician over today who also couldn’t fix it. When he left, I tried doing some more fixes I found online and after I did a SFC /scannow, it said it found issues and fixed them and restarted the pc. Now I can’t even get past the blue screen with this error. I can’t even enter safe mode. I’ve tried every Google-able fix, nothing has worked. Please help!

if it was ,me i would boot into bios disable network then try to boot back if it didnt work i would boot from usb and try windows repair startup if it didnt work i would reinstall windows.

and use backup.wim to restore windows.

thats what i use to do backups once in a while and also use dism++ to restore system.

I literally just tried that - disabling network in bios, didn’t work. Also tried booting from usb, “repair this pc” but that didn’t work either. Can you explain more about reinstalling windows? Will I lose all my data? What is backup.wim? DISM++, is that a program to restore data?

how did you install windows on your pc ? from usb right ? have you tried system restore ?

theres forum called mdl forums you can learn a lot about windows, and tools like dism++, and yes dism++ is a simple app you dont need to install it just download and simple to create backups and simple to restore windows . thats what i use, also you can use it to disable remove system apps, also to clean windows and its SXS folder.

these are backups i created with dism++ if i messed up something in windows but could still boot into widnows i would use dism++ and choose last Backup.wim to restore system.
if i couldn't boot into windows i would reinstall it then would use dism++ to restore from last backup.wim

I don’t have any backups so it wouldn’t let me system restore.
So if I do a clean reinstall of windows, I can use dism++ to restore files I may lose?

when you reinstall windows you can use dism++ to make backup.wim then in the future if something goes wrong you can use dism++ to restore system from that backup.wim

one thing more if you can still use cmd paste this command i dont think it will work but you can try

Okay thanks. But if I reinstall windows now, I won’t be able to restore my current files? Does reinstalling windows delete the files?

one thing more if you can still use cmd paste this command i dont think it will work but you can try

I tried something similar to that and it didn’t work but I’ll try this when I get back to the pc thanks

Yes it deletes files 👍 you will have fresh windows installed if you had windows system backup you could restore files and everything. You can use windows to make backups or tools such as dism++

Oh damn I don’t want it to delete my files. Should I do reset pc and keep files instead?
