Hello!
I keep getting the blue screen of Driver Power State Failure and I don't know how I can fix it. I have updated drivers with Driver Easy (manually) ran sfc, CHKDSK.
Acer Nitro 5
Model AN515 -51
Bios version: V1.13
Microsoft Windows 10 Home 64-bit
Intel(R) Core (TM) i5 - 7300HQ CPU @ 2.50 Ghz
Memory RAM: 8gb
Graphics Device 1: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050
Graphics Device 2: Intel(R) HD Graphics 630
This is the report from WhoCrashed:
On Mon 2019-10-21 9:01:22 PM your computer crashed or a problem was reported
crash dump file: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\102119-46187-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x1C1220)
Bugcheck code: 0x9F (0x3, 0xFFFF8A05853C9060, 0xFFFFFC812B63F7B0, 0xFFFF8A058D0CB010)
Error: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE
file path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System
company: Microsoft Corporation
description: NT Kernel & System
Bug check description: This bug check indicates that the driver is in an inconsistent or invalid power state. A device object has been blocking an IRP for too long a time.
This is likely to be caused by a hardware problem.
The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver that cannot be identified at this time.
I also started Windows in Safe Mode to run Device Manager and some devices have exclamation mark: Generic PnP Monitor, Qualcomm Atheros QCA61x4A Wireless Network Adapter, Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth, Realtek High Definition Audio (SST), Microsoft Hyper-V Virtualization Infrastructure Driver.
Driver Easy doesn't show those devices need to be uptated. I read some posts on your forum and found out I shoudn't rely on Driver Easy...
I checked Acer community website and I cannot tell if any of links with updates are those I need to install....
https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support-product/7312?b=1
I would be thankful if you could help me fix it.
Let me know if there is some more information you want me to provide.
I'm sorry if I did some grammar mistakes... English is not my 1st language.
Regards,
Greg
