[SOLVED] Bsod dual channel ram

When i bought my laptop it has 1x8 gb ram and i bought another 8 gb ram to make it 2x8 gb ram. They are both compatible when i put it together. After some days it started to blue screen alot. I tried using each of them 1 at a time and there is no problem but when i put it together it blue screen. I tried cleaning the ram. Can anyone help me.

Mixing RAM not bought as a matched kit is not guaranteed to work together. Often it does especially when only 2 dimms/sticks but even then there is a chance of issues. See the odd man out section here https://forums.tomshardware.com/faq...y-ram-and-xmp-profile-configurations.3398926/

If the BIOS will let you, you could try increasing the DRAM voltage but would need to know what it’s set to now to suggest what to try. You can also try lowering the speed or loosening the timings. Ultimately though the best option is a 2 dimm/stick kit.

Its trial and error but Id try increasing the CAS by 2 over its stock setting

If the BIOS will let you I would try 1.250v. You can try with and without increasing the CAS latency.

You need to test for stability. I can launch AC: Valhalla, play it for a couple hours. On unstable RAM. For some reason I can't run the inbuilt benchmark tho. As soon as it is done loading the bench, I'm kicked back to desktop. No error messages, nothing. But I know it's RAM. How? Because I have been messing with it. I crash the benchmark on purpose.
It's not like you are going to get a BSOD the instant your RAM is unstable. It would have to be so unstable, you can barely load into Windows. Really messed up timings etc.
You can go for months while RAM corrupts random files of yours.

Load the config & exit, relaunch TM5. It will do 3 runs. Expect it to take 1.5 hours.

for some reason when i change the key in regedit intelppm to 4 it does not bsod again but it disable the processors in device manager and it gives less performance. What should i do? changing the cas latency doesnt work and the volt,
