This was probably caused by the following module: atikmdag.sys (atikmdag+0x1B1FC)
Bugcheck code: 0xA0000001 (0x5, 0x0, 0x0, 0x0)
Error: CUSTOM_ERROR
file path: C:\Windows\system32\drivers\atikmdag.sys
product: ATI Radeon Family
company: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.
description: ATI Radeon Kernel Mode Driver
A third party driver was identified as the probable root cause of this system error. It is suggested you look for an update for the following driver: atikmdag.sys (ATI Radeon Kernel Mode Driver, Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.).
Google query: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. CUSTOM_ERROR

My PC is only a week old and it's getting frustrating. What I've done so far: uninstalled 14.10 version of AMD drivers and replaced it with 13.9 (as suggested in another forum)

Please help. I practically cannot use my PC unless I rollback the display drivers to really old, 8-bit versions
=(

Heat, You computer is getting too hot. If it is a Laptop consider getting a Laptop fan to sit underneath it.
If it is a desktop make sure the CPU fans are spinning. Check ventilation. It is a Video Card issue I can tell you that, but if Roll back and clean install of the drivers isn't working then Voltage and or Heat is the culprit.
