Question BSOD during Win 10 installation

Purchased second hand PC. Turned on, running Windows 7, no issues, contained lots of personal stuff from previous owner. Decided to wipe and install Win 10. Keep getting BSOD error right when Windows installation begins. I'm able to select all the options to the point when "Installing Windows" goes from 0% to 1%, it BSODs. DRIVER_OVERRAN_STACK_BUFFER

Removed the hard drive, plugged it into another PC. Wiped it DoD 3passes. Removed all partitions. Back into original PC, BSOD again. Tried various different versions of Windows 10.

Any ideas?

Hey thanks for the reply.

I've gone through the link and it offers no assistance. Last post from 2015. I figured I'd give it a try here.

The HHD showed no errors when I ran tests on it.

I'm running MemTest now and we'll see. All partitions have been removed and drive erased. I can't boot into anything for any of those related tests.

Best of luck - windows 10 is an pain. I know that feeling - windows once messed up my gpu drivers.

if memtest finds nothing wrong, try making another installer on another USB as the only "drivers" being used that early on would be on the installer.
