Question BSOD Error: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL - afd.sys Windows 10

Hey -

Can anyone help me with the following?

I get this error occasionally - DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and the failed file the error indicates is afd.sys. I most recently got this error today while booting up WoW.

Normally means the cpu voltage is low. Happens especially with overclocks previously thought to be stable. But not always.

afd.sys is network related and errors can arise due to installation of new hardware, new software, a windows update etc. You can try going to the motherboard website and downloading the latest Lan driver patch, it probably has fixes for any windows updates.

Can also be caused by malware or malicious file infestation.
