Recently I've been getting BSOD errors. I don't really know how to identify them, but I have managed to finally grab the error from the Windows Event logs.
Here is the error, copied onto notepad, exactly as it appeared in the event log
- <Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event">
- <System>
<Provider Name="Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-Power" Guid="{331C3B3A-2005-44C2-AC5E-77220C37D6B4}" />
<EventID>41</EventID>
<Version>2</Version>
<Level>1</Level>
<Task>63</Task>
<Opcode>0</Opcode>
<Keywords>0x8000000000000002</Keywords>
<TimeCreated SystemTime="2014-05-05T03:28:55.741609200Z" />
<EventRecordID>230649</EventRecordID>
<Correlation />
<Execution ProcessID="4" ThreadID="8" />
<Channel>System</Channel>
<Computer>Nick-PC</Computer>
<Security UserID="S-1-5-18" />
</System>
- <EventData>
<Data Name="BugcheckCode">244</Data>
<Data Name="BugcheckParameter1">0x3</Data>
<Data Name="BugcheckParameter2">0xfffffa8011880910</Data>
<Data Name="BugcheckParameter3">0xfffffa8011880bf0</Data>
<Data Name="BugcheckParameter4">0xfffff80003d817b0</Data>
<Data Name="SleepInProgress">false</Data>
<Data Name="PowerButtonTimestamp">0</Data>
</EventData>
</Event>
I've been able to replicate this error by shutting down my computer for atleast an hour. Normally, I shut down my computer, and I have a power strip that I turn off shortly after which is connected to my PC.
However, if I do not turn the power strip off within 30 minutes or so, then once I turn my PC back on (regardless if its booting from having the power cut or not) then the BSOD error appears.
I will attempt to get a screenshot of the error, if that helps.
Any help is appreciated.
