[SOLVED] BSOD every 2 minutes. Is there a hero out there?

Hi,

Thanks for taking the time to look at my question.

I am not the most experienced computer guru, but I feel I have tried everything to fix my computer. I have even spoken with computer shops who have refused to fix it as most fear BSOD repairs, but have offered advice and still nothing has worked.
The build is about 6 months old and I’ve been going through hell ever since trying to fix an underlying problem with the system.

Problem: Whenever the computer is idle (not playing games, browsing internet, watching YouTube) it will BSOD without fail every 2-5 mins. Even with restart it will do this without fail. When gaming, the computer will NOT BSOD and can be played for hours until I close the game, then the system will BSOD every 2-5 minutes until I load another game.
Even with fresh windows install, I struggle to get through the installation before I bluescreen, causing my system to fail the installation.

Things I have tried:
I have reinstalled windows about 10 times due to messing around with drivers etc and the computer become unplayable mess.
As mentioned I have tried different drivers, even payed for driver easy membership to auto install drivers as I had given up with messing around. (Didn’t work, but got a refund for membership)
I have tried looking into the BSOD codes online but the information is so vague and people who have had my issue seem to resolve it but it doesn’t work for me.
I have tried different set of working RAM and still got the same BSOD issue.

Specs:
CPU: Ryzen 5 3600
GPU : AMD Radeon Rx590 8gb
Motherboard: B450 Tomohawk Max
RAM: Corsair 16gb 3200mhz
PSU : Corsair RMx 850w
Storage: Samsung Evo 860 SSD / Sabrent Rocket 500gb NVMe

If anyone could help me with my issue then it would be much appreciated. I’m sure there’s some computer god out there who knows the answer. Please let me know if you need anymore info!

Thanks

The first thing that helps narrow the issue down at all, is what BSOD codes are you getting? This can change where you want to look to try to fix the issue. I expect though, that it has something to do with hardware, since you seem to have tried a lot of software things. Have you tried reinstalling the BIOS for the Motherboard? If there is a fault there, then that could be causing issues that persist through windows reinstall. Also, since its easy, do you have a second GPU you can swap in to the system temporarily?

The error codes vary a lot and I get new codes everyday.
Main cause is ntoskrnl.exe.
Codes I have since I’ve installed windows ;
0x00000192, 0x0000000a, 0x00000139, 0x00000162.
I haven’t tried reinstalling the bios but I’ve downloaded the latest update for it. Don’t know if that’s the same. It’s 3am here so I’ll try swapping the gpu out tomorrow and I’ll reply back with results.
Thanks for your reply

Ok. Good luck. And unless you did the process to install the new BIOS, you have not updated it. I do not remember the process of the top of my head, but there is a process you need to do to actually update the BIOS. Good luck, this is a pretty bad problem.
