So recently I put together a "newer" computer. The only old components are the two ssd's I have in the system. One being about a year old and the other purchased less than 2 months ago.

My pc:
Intel dz77ga-70k mobo
corsair 1600mhz ram 8gb x2
evga gtx 980 sc acx 2.0
intel 2700k cpu
two intel ssd's
Windows 8.1 with all updates
Thermaltake 650w psu

Can someone help me interpret my bsod message? It occurs when playing some games such as GTA5 and cannot be replicated easily and occurs at random. The game freezes but audio is still there and then moments later the sound freezes as well and the bsod occurs.

To my knowledge all the hardware inside the comp has the most up to date drivers. Since most of the components are intel, I use their driver utility software to update my drivers. The bios also has the latest update pulled from intel as well.

GPU driver failed to respond within a timeout.
remove C:\Program Files (x86)\MSI Afterburner\RTCore64.sys Sun Mar 10 22:32:06 2013
and retest.

these drivers are kind of old:
C:\Users\Chris\AppData\Local\Temp\GPU-Z.sys Wed Oct 06 09:14:37 2010
C:\RealTemp\WinRing0x64.sys Sat Jul 26 06:29:37 2008

Thanks for taking a look into this, very much appreciated. I will remove the msi afterburner and try evga precision x instead. I only use it for fan control because as a so called "feature" this model 980 doesn't kick in the fans until it hits + 60 Celsius. And I don't like the idea of the card being idle hovering at 59 celsius cause the fan won't come on. I've also removed gpu-z and realtemp and replaced them with speccy.

So I'll report back one way or the other with results hopefully being that it's been resolved. Again thank you for the help.
