Hey guys, My computer got a BSOD and it's unusable. I turn it on and log in but after 3 minutes of logging in it crashes and I get a BSOD. I am able to run it in safe mode. I never created a recovery disk so i'm.SOL. I got a Gateway DX4300-22.

Any more info needed and I'll be happy to post.

The tower has the W7 Home Premium product key on it. Can I use that to activate a copy of Home Premium? If I can where can I download it (free trial)? I've gone on the digitalrivercontent website but the download cancels after a while.

Most of the BSODs i have experienced have been because of memory issues, whether faulty sticks, or the motherboard went bad. Try to acquire the error codes and search them through Microsoft. That should provide a lot more information so we can better help you. Hope we can help! God bless!

Have you tried to create the recovery disk while in safe mode?

Yes, I've tried creating a recovery disk in safe mode, but safe mode doesn't allow it.

Last time I cleaned my PC was 2 months ago. I just opened it up and it's clean with little dust on the CPU fan.

Here is the Error code.

STOP: 0x0000000A (0x0000000000080010, 0x0000000000000007, 0x0000000000000000 0xFFFFF800032EA915

That error code means "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" which means it's a memory problem. Here is the thing, it may be bad ram or it may be bad motherboard slots. so try each individual piece in different slots to see if just 1 or more pieces/slots are bad before attempting to replace anything.
