BSOD installing drivers

Just recently built a new PC. Wiped it to a fresh version of windows 10 and on attempting to install the drivers for my graphics card my screen went completely blue. No error code just blue as it would as if I were on the wrong channel.
I've been told by a friend that it may be my TV does not have a good enough refresh rate to keep up.
Could this be the case?

Any help much appreciated.

What are system specs?

Have you connected the card to just a TV? Not seen how it works connected to a monitor?

Can you try and test the card in another system?
